Reroll Guide: Support Cards vs Characters

Complete reroll strategy for new players - what really matters

Version: Global Launch Meta Updated: 7/18/2025
Other Character Rankings: Choose your preferred tier list

IMPORTANT: Support Cards > Characters

Global community consensus is nearly unanimous: Support cards have a bigger impact on your progress than the starting character. A top-tier support deck lets even a 1★ character reach high stats, whereas a 3★ character without good supports will struggle.

Reroll Priority: Target at least one or two high-tier SSR Support Cards instead of specific characters. See our Support Card Tier List for details.

#1 Priority: SSR Support Cards

1

[Piece of Mind] Super Creek Stamina

Game-changing gold skill "Swinging Maestro" and massive training boosts. Will carry your team's endurance even at 0 LB.

Available at Launch Top Reroll Target
2

[Wave of Gratitude] Fine Motion Wisdom/Int

Excellent stats and "Wit Friendship" energy recovery makes training smoother. Works great at 0 LB.

Available at Launch Top Reroll Target
3

[Fire at My Heels] Kitasan Black Speed

THE single best speed card in the game. Meta-defining for years in JP. If willing to wait ~3 weeks (July 16), she's the #1 pick.

Other excellent SSR supports: Tazuna (Friend type), Vodka (Power), El Condor Pasa (Int), Tamamo Cross (Stamina)

#2 Target: Starting Character (If Any)

If you get good support cards, the specific character matters less. But if you get a choice ticket or starter selection:

Best Starter: Oguri Cap

Powerful, versatile, helps clear content. That Dirt aptitude B is forward-looking.

Other Good Choices:

  • Sakura Bakushin O - Easy early game
  • Daiwa Scarlet - Balanced pick
  • Tokai Teio - Well-rounded

Remember: "Character tier list = pick your waifu" - Any 3★ you like can work with good supports!

Reroll Strategy

Efficient Rerolling:

Global launch gives ~30-40 free pulls. Reset until you see at least one target SSR support.

Statistical Reality:

Getting one target SSR in ~40 pulls is around 9-10% chance. May take 10+ resets, but it's worth the investment.

Long-term Planning:

If you miss Kitasan Black now, you can spark (200 pulls pity) her banner later by saving gems.

Reroll Summary

Goal: At least one high-tier Speed and one high-tier Stamina/Wisdom support card in your starter deck.

1. Roll for supports - Your #1 priority is SSR support cards
2. Characters are secondary - Pick from top tiers or simply one you love
3. Quality over quantity - One top SSR support > multiple mediocre cards
4. Be patient - Good supports save months of struggle
5. Bind your account - Once satisfied, secure it immediately

Characters to Avoid (Initially)

Some characters have difficult growth stories or require specific setups. Save these for later:

  • Rice Shower - Frustrating story with many failure points
  • Gold Ship - RNG-heavy mechanics can be frustrating

Set them aside until you have better supports and more experience.

When to Stop Rerolling

Keep your account if:

  • You get Super Creek OR Fine Motion
  • You get 2+ other S-tier SSR supports
  • You get 1 S-tier support + favorite character

Keep rerolling if:

  • No SSR support cards at all
  • Only low-tier or niche SSR supports
  • Only got characters but no good supports
